Question Apologizing for my fellow pirates...
I am sorry everyone. We Pirates are a passionate bunch about ECU and we are all such homers that we are guilty of thinking everyone else would care or find intrigue in everything Purple and Gold related.

:ecu: I haven't posted on here in a very long time but this page is always a stop when I have time to kill. I wanted to just take a moment to tell my Pirate brethren that this is not the ECU page.

Our conference mates do not need you to re-post everything you see on the Boneyardbanter.com or hoistthecolours.net.
You can do that on the ECU team message board if you would like (it could use the traffic).

It has just been apparent that y'all are a little worse about this recently with the posting of every little thing ECU related in both the CUSA and AAC forums and I just want to try to help reel it back down a notch before the other teams fans reach their tolerance threshold and it gets nasty.

I understand the irony of me posting this here (on the conference board) so I also want to apologize on behalf of myself to our CUSA mates.

I have enjoyed getting to know you and your teams over the years and look forward to seeing your programs grow and your teams in the thunderdomes of sport.

RE: Apologizing for my fellow pirates...
TEIP, Myself, and several others try to post rationally without getting into the pissing contest. I've been hard on our guys that get in all of the arguments, but the more I read, the more I see people throwing unnecessary fuel into the fire. Oh well, it's really coming from all sides at this point. (I don't need to say this but) Other teams are more than welcome to post all of their game info, and other things they are excited about.

I really don't think the argumentative posters need an apology though....that's just their style. I don't ask "Oldtiger" to apologize for any obnoxious Memphis fans that I see....... if anyone wants to lump us all together then good for them.

I agree Pi Kapp. That is why I have stopped posting for the most part on here. I still check it out from time to time. It seems like it has really gotten bad in the last year or so. I love the Pirates, but I am not going to assume that others care about ECU as much as I do. Others have zeal for their schools and that should be respected.

RE: Apologizing for my fellow pirates...
just wondering what are fans of any school suppose to post on this forum? I basically keep up with conference mates on this board so if no one post about their U's I am to lazy to go digging for it on their boards or anywhere else...so schools like FIU and FAU and few others I have no idea about them because they don't post anything about their U's.

And, only a few school boards here are worth really checking.

I see your point, but it doesn't really bother me. I can't read every thread here, so I only click on the ones that interest me anyway.

So I guess I select option #2??

I mostly just read here, but thought I'd post...

Can you get StillJonesing to stop ruining every thread? For example, I'm sure he thinks that ECU makes WAY better birthday cake than my wife does, and he will certainly argue for days trying to convince me of that, including pointing out obscure data such as internal temperature at serving, and ideal viscosity of butter when it enters the mixing bowl. That does not make me like my birthday cake any less.

There is an ignore function. And I've found it solves that particular problem very well.

Nothing wrong with supporting your team. The Marshall obsession from the "Pirates Supporting Pirates" Dude is weird but overall most of the people on message boards are of the same cloth and would all get along in the grand scheme of things.

Just take a look a the last 5 years: your wife has made dry birthday cakes with store bought icing. ECU's cakes are moist and delicious wwith light and fluffy icing. Eaters of your wife's cakes have consumed on average a half of a glass of milk more than eaters of ECU cakes.

Everyone knows that SJ's mom makes the best cake.

You guys are forgetting that SJ has acquired a new type of funfetti icing that once it is implemented, 5 years from now, it will change his cakes forever.

I would most definitely not have enough invitations to the party to accommodate ALL of the SJ fans that want to attend, and my house isn't big enough for them all anyways. In order to have them all at the party, we would have to have it at a different, larger site such as Iron Chef's Kitchen Stadium.

Yes, everyone else's funfetti icing comes separated, and the sprinkles have to be added to the icing. SJ's funfetti icing comes with the sprinkles ALREADY in the icing, which provides for a more accurate distribution of sprinkles and a more even layering of colors on the cake.
