AP Poll
NIU up to 18 in the AP Poll from 20. UCF 17 and Fresno moved back a spot to 16.

Point wise, looks like we gained about 10 on Fresno (pretty much nothing).

I know the AP poll doesn't matter in the BCS discussion, but still is probably a decent barometer on the other polls.

RE: AP Poll
We gain 44 votes for beating Toledo. We played the best opponent (of teams below) and gained less points than everyone but Louisville.

Fresno gained 47 votes for beating garbage New Mexico.

UCF gained 53 votes for beating garbage Rutgers.

Louisville gained 29 votes for beating garbage Memphis by 7 points.

USC gains 75 votes for beating 1-win California.

Interesting the LSUbeat guy had Fresno 7th last week and I believe just put NIU in his top 25.

RE: AP Poll
It's not so much that NIU is only chosen to be 19th-24th in the voters' choices. THAT by itself is disappointing, but oh well.

What GETS ME is that they have Fresno SO HIGH *at the same time*. WTF? What did Fresno do to make one think so?

I can't see how a voter could have Fresno more than *1* spot above NIU. And for every voter who would have that, you'd expect to have *1* spot below NIU. Sheesh.

It's the AP Poll.. Who cares. Fresno could be #1. NIU could be #99. It doesn't matter.

yes it doesn't matter, but it does show the bias we are dealing with, and that is the crux of the problem
