Hardly anything on this board has to do with Realignment and if it does it's usually trolling.

Agree completely, totally horrible sports town. Not sure why Lebron wants to put an MLS team there.

He does not really know the place. He sees largish crowds at most of his games and thinks this is the norm rather than the exception and that it will be gone if things go sour (much faster than he would expect too).

Most people do not realize how bad it really is. I only know because my grandmother was born there and lived there for decades from before these sports teams and beyond. The stories of failed crowd ventures in Miami (and things that should have died but didn't) is quite long.

It's not a large school by enrollment, only 15k students. They have to lure casual fans to bolster attendance.

The Miami Seahawks are a testament to Miami's apathetic.

Didn't see the game but according to the box score the attendance was 44,372.

With that recruiting base? Ha, I don't think so.

I have always seen this as a catch-all board. Everybody talking about everything college sports especially when there is no realignment going on.

Announced attendance is often times nowhere near the actual people that are there. There's no way there was more than 15,000 people there.

Seriously, there wasn't more than 5,000 in the stands, at any point of the game.

Doubt it. Too much talent down there. It is a small private school with a weird stadium situation. I'm not defending them, just considering the factors. Plus they took care of business regardless and that's what matters to me.

By that logic, Houston and SMU should be competing for national titles again in the near future.
