Nobody at FIU cares. Our visiting student section would always outnumber their home student section for football and basketball. You can go to that campus and see tons more UM shirts than FIU

So was the reason CUSA took FIU in the round before they accepted FAU simply based on tv market alone?
Disclaimer: I am not attempting to bash FIU, USM, and UAB in this post. I know all 3 of these schools are rebuilding and/or breaking in a new coaching staff. I don't think your programs suck. I don't think your schools suck. To be honest and fair though, I think your teams are pretty bad this year. I don't think I'm out of line in saying that. Hell conference play in basketball is right around the corner and I'm sure some of you will pay the Pirates back for football season.
So here's the thing. For ECU and Marshall, our fans have had to judge our teams for large chunks of the season on how badly we beat bad teams. If we were playing good opponents, its simple. You either have a good result (win) or a bad result (loss), but we are trying to gauge our teams off of how badly we blow out bad teams. And really, it doesn't matter. A win is a win, especially on the road.
Marshall is going to win this game and on Friday ECU and Marshall are going to play in Huntington to determine who will play in the CCG. I am ecstatic that ECU is going to play a decent team again finally. Finally ECU and Marshall fans will either get a win or a loss and be happy or upset accordingly. No more whining about winning by 2 TDs instead of 3 or 4 or whatever. I'm looking forward to it.

Basically. But that's not CUSA's fault, that's how conference realignment. And to be fair, FAU isn't much better. The main difference between the two is the school spirit, hence why our student sections have always outnumbered theirs.
Show me those pictures. It should be easy since it happens all the time. As I've told you before, nobody at FIU cares about a losing team or FAU.
See the other end zone, that's the FIU student section when we are winning and the game isn't against FAU. Show me a photo of 1 game where your student section has been completely full save for the band. We all wait with baited breath.

Our student section sits 7,000, while yours sits 2,000. Congrats, our half full student section still beats your half full section (even though that never happens) and with 30,000 more students.
As for the pics, go to @DavidJNeal on Twitter. Not only did Marshall outnumber the students, they outnumbered everybody else in the stadium. Congrats that your students only show up when your team wins. But last time I checked, this is college. You support your student athletes no matter what, win or lose.

That's funny, if it weren't for Marshall fans, the stadium would be virtually empty.
This is why I am happy ECU is exiting.
Why even have a FB program if the community, alums and students do not care? This Looks like a giant waste of money and effort that could be put into Olympic sports. FIU is not alone in this CUSA problem either.

LOL. Someone's ego is feeling big right now that clouds his mind into writing exaggerated comments. Your comments are not "always" stating the truth, kid.
FIU Fanatic is being kind, so I'll say what he was implying. You're a liar. Your student section is the smallest part of your stadium. At best it sits 4,000, ours sits 3,500 as it stretches from sideline to sideline and is not cut off. For it to sit 7,000 it would comprise 25% of your stadium. It does not.
Everyone can see, because I have photographic proof, that your student section is not as big as the 2 sidelines are or the fully enclosed portion of your other endzone. Nor is it full, even at your highest attended game which is shown above. Secondly, you weren't talking about the marshall game, you said that fau students outnumber our students at our games when you play us. The request is pretty straight forward. Show me the photo, even the ezu fan showing a cropped photo (yeah, that's the entire stadium right boss, ok) can do that. Where is your proof? It's pretty easy for me to show photos of you being the liar that you are, because they exist. However, I would like for you to show me those fau students, that can't even fill out their own student section, coming to FIU and outnumbering us. Again, we all wait with baited breath.

I always try to be fair, but you are right, this kid is suddenly feeling good with their very probable bowl-eligible win, and is outright lying on his statements. Why? I don't know, maybe it makes him feel better or something.

Is still the dumbest argument I've ever heard of. You practice in front of no one. Plenty of teams beat Tulane in front of no one. Tulane wins in front of no one.
