No, you are dead wrong. The Pit is one of the hardest venues in the US to win at.

But will we get any credit for it this year after that New Mexico loss to UMass? I think so.

Doesn't matter what people think. Winning on the road against New Mexico will be a huge boost to the RPI rankings. Road top 50 RPI wins are hard to come by...

The college basketball media will really respect that win, absolutely. The Pit's reputation is well earned and well known, even if New Mexico isn't quite as good as people thought they were going to be.
