RE: WatchESPN / ESPN3 choking at big moments
I haven't seen any issues while watching UC games on it. That includes football and basketball during prime times... I have Time Warner Cable, 35Mbit down, and I fling a TON of bits around my LAN (Windows Media Center PC controlling my 2 HD Homerun Prime Tuners, slinging TV/movies/music to my 3 XBox360's). I have been able to have Watch ESPN going while having my kids watching shows on Amazon Prime as well.

It has an AMAZING ... borderline uncanny ability ... for the stream to choke and stop right before a huge play ... and then start again at the lowest possible quality just after said huge play.

Does this happen to anybody else? I fling a lot of bits around my LAN, but it seems to happen regardless of whatever else is going on. I have a 30 meg pipe in which isn't overprovisioned or anything, and even at highest quality ESPN3 only uses about 4-6 mbit.

I've had the same exact issues. In fact, sometimes when watching a replay the feed just freezes altogether and I have to close out and go back in and find the spot where I left off.
