The Eligibility Bowl at 12:30pm Cuse has a ton of guys out with season ending injuries...normally I'm optimistic but I think Pitt wins by 10 pts.

The Pitt-Syracuse game is like comfort food to me. After all the changes it's nice to play someone that you have a lot of history with. Should be a close one like the overall series which is 34-31-3 in Pitt's favor.

Navy-SJSU is a fantastic game.

What a gutsy drive by SJSU. Got helped by the refs on an out of bounds call then burned by the refs taking forever to signal first down.

SJSU scores with zero time on the clock .. must convert 2PC to force overtime.

Converted.

Free bonus football.

Not that it's going to happen but Andre Williams needs to average 273 yards in his last 3 games to break Barry Sanders FBS record......

351 to break the record of any current ACC team(Dorsett).

Got nothing else to shoot for since he already got the ACC and school records for a game and the season. Impressive considering he laid an egg vs. USC and Clemson.

10-9 Pitt at the half. A blocked extra point is the difference. Pitt fumbled with 25 seconds to give the Cuse 3 points at the end of the first half.

Congrats Pitt. Surprised this one went to the wire. But its to be expected in such a mutual rivalry. Now we have to beat BC.

Congrats on the win.

Heading into next year we need a new OC and a QB. What we have right now at both spots are not D1 quailty. Our OC is so bad I almost want to get our QB Hunt a pass.

RE: Open Thread - Week 13
As frustrated as I am with how poorly we played I still would like to vent about how ACC refs continuously screw Syracuse.

Syracuse was called for holding 6 times today (2 of them declined) including one during a crucial stage of the game. Meanwhile Pitt offensive linemen were holding all day and weren't being called for it.

Then there's the three pass interferences that Pitt wasn't called for. Apparently they're allowed to hold our receiver when they're beaten deep or just run over their back.

Then the late hit out of bounds not called against Pitt in near the end of the 2nd quarter. After Pitt fumbled the punt and Syracuse recovered a Pitt player drilled Brandon Reddish well after the play was over. Very easy call yet the refs let it go. But then later in the game they decide to call Reddish for a personal foul for taking a little swipe at a Pitt player.

Seems like it's been like this the entire year. Everything is a penalty against Syracuse and the refs refuse to call blatant things against our opponents.[/align]

Ron Cherry wears a white cap in this league. The refs have stunk for a long, LONG time now.

College football refs in general are beyond awful. But ACC refs take it to a whole new extreme. And the calls seem to be one-sided way too often.

Despite all the awful calls against us we still had a chance to win though. Our playcalling and our kicking game is probably even more irritating than the officiating.
