As Mark mentioned above UMD and Pitt can't pass Duke, but if it is any other bowl besides the Belk I can easily see BC getting selected over Duke if they beat Syracuse. That's the price they will pay for having a non-existent football fanbase. If they were able, and even with them having a reputation of not traveling well if all things were equal Duke would lose out to Pitt and UMD as well.

Sucks for the team, but other than getting paired with a team with an outstanding traveling fanbase who would easily cover the shortfall that is the reality they will have to face for putting FCS level numbers in the stands the past two years.

BTW BC might actually get a bit better bowl than normal...Andre Williams brings a name player who would be in the Heisman Discussion if he played on a better team. We'll see what awaits them at 8-4 or 7-5.

They mentioned during the broadcast that his TD pass was his first in two months.

He is not a D1 level QB regardless of the talent around him and to be frank neither is McDonald.

I am coming around to Shafer as I think he has gotten better but Hunt and McDonald both need to go if we are to make any serious strides next season.

there not getting rid of recruiting wizz McDonald with his south florida connections as it will kill our good recruiting class after 1 year where there was no talent at wr. Hunt will be in a competition next year. Next season as long as hickey and Jerome smith come back we should be a 7- 8 win team as ooc we should get 3 games realistically. That stat on passing touchdowns is a bit misleading as we don't hit any big pass plays with our wide receiver corp so whenever we get close we run it with our good stable of backs.

Admittedly I may be missing someone so perhaps you can point them out but where is this fantastic recruiting class that he pulled in? What guys are you specifically talking about?

the current class is on place to be top 50 if finish solidly vs the normal mid 70's that it was under marrone with loads of recruits personally linked to McDonald in south florida. The 2 qbs , wr's, Lb's, plus a bunch of uncommitted that we are in the lead for.

Duke, Pitt, GT, BC, VT, Miami, FSU, Clemson, UNC, NC State, Louisville and Virginia all ranked ahead of our class. Doesn't seem like a strong enough class to make up for his really ****** job at OC and hey at least we are not ranked last in the ACC.

Then again as a native upstate NY'er I am pretty much a pessimistic, cynical ******* so maybe I am missing the forest for the trees.

we have some higher end recruits that would raise our rankings up a good amount

Our average star rating is up...I know stars don't mean much but we seem to be in on with higher level recruits as compared to the Marrone era...we'll see how we finish.
