Doc, Will carried us tonight. Josh finally started hitting 3's, but Will just put us on his shoulders and carried us.

RE: Southern game and post-game thread
This game shows the type player Ben Dillard is. Cool. Mature. First game back. Doesn't attempt a shot from the field, but makes 9 of 10 FTs and has a key steal.

RE: Southern game and post-game thread
Two key things happened last night. First, Ben Dillard was back. He is a quiet, workaday type player. Stay calm. Second, Tucker said that Will Neighbour was playing with more emotion than he had ever seen him have. Senior leadership.

We are getting the rebounds we need from the big guys. Last two games they have had 16 and 20.

Thomas injured, and it sure looks smart now bringing in that extra point guard.

Of course, if we hadn't brought in the extra PG, would we still have Gillon?

Thomas was the extra. Smith was the factor in Gillon leaving.

RE: Southern game and post-game thread
This game was sort of like leaving a death-bed scene because it is too painful to watch, then coming back to view the corpse and finding it doing push-ups.

I told you Ben would make a difference
http://burnthehorse.blogspot.com/2013/11...ur-on.html

"Dillard, playing his first minutes of the season due to injuries, was stellar. Not only did he make 9 of 10 free throws in the game, but his minutes on the court resulted in a 49-34 advantage for UALR. His +15 rating was by far the best for UALR on the night."
