UPDATE: ASUN.TV best I've seen now!
I don't know why, but ASUN.TV for Mercer has horrifically bad quality this year. It's borderline unwatchable. The last couple of years the quality was becoming near HD, and we had an on-screen scoreboard with good camera angles...

Now we have
- terrible video (think 240p on Youtube)
- bad camera angles (only the corners of the baseline seem to be used in game)
- No on screen scoreboard

I've watched the first 2 home games, but I can't watch the 3rd. I sincerely hope we fix this before the SoCon. It should be nearing TV quality in 2014. We could use Evansville as an example for what I would gladly pay for.

I don't like to complain without a solution, so here's my thought:

- Use the radio feed over the video. Rick Cameron does an amazing job for us, and there's no comparison. I always try to overlay the radio over the video.
- Figure out the video quality issue. We have the ability, it's just been lost this year. Gotta contact the guys in charge last year or year before.
- Lastly just need a scoreboard on-screen. Do we have any kind of video production students at Mercer? They would be perfect.

With how well Mercer is doing, this is the gateway to be taken seriously. Just look at the Seton Hall feedback on their message board. It makes us look like a joke.

RE: ASUN.tv is terrible ... SoCon TV same fate?
Also with football going... I'd hate to not be able to watch football either. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we fix this. Like mentioned before, if it means we have to pay $5 a game or a yearly fee, I'm all for that. Free with bad quality is only going to hurt us. A casual fan turns this game on, and they'll never come back.

UPDATE:
I have to hand it to Mercer, it's a night and day difference with today's game vs. Yale. The picture quality is back, the camera angles are back, and there's the best on-screen scoreboard I've ever seen us have. This looks great!! Definitely matches where the athletics program is going. Let's hope it's not just for homecoming. Thanks Mercer!

Also they should make a live football stream. Instead of the live stats and radio.

I agree completely! I really hope that's in the works. I'm sure this year they wanted as many live fans as possible. In the future, they could even charge the same as a ticket (about $10) to watch online.
