Seems like Bama and Auburn are fine playing G5 schools as long as they aren't located in the state of Alabama. They really should be made to play Troy, USA, and UAB on a rotating basis each year. I know they wont. Thank goodness the Florida "Big 3" dont have that issue.

I would rather not play Bama in football but a basketball series might be nice.

I get you guys are the type that play anyone anywhere and that is great. We used to be that way. But USM is not in anyway shape or form to play Bama. You all need to load up on beatable teams to get that winning feeling again. Getting murdered on by Bama after two winless seasons is just dumb.

In years past I would be rooting you guys on by 2014 is not the time to schedule Bama or any top FCS team. Playing Mississippi St, BYU, and Bama in your OOC is just stupid right now. No room to build momentum.

FAU used to schedlue that way too with 3 blowout games and 1 winnable OOC. We needed the money. Slowly we are changing that. We are now doing 2 Bodybags, 2 winnable OOC.

Tech was scheduled to play Bama in basketball this season but the SEC blocked it when they were finalizing the schedules

Probably has more to do w/ the scheduling changes that Slive said he wanted (IIRC or was it NCAA???) that make playing 1AA less inviting for bowl invites/bcs type ratings so they took a couple of 1A teams they know wouldn't have a snowballs chance & scheduled them plus give all that money to support out of state programs. If they wanted an easy 1A win they could've scheduled us as they've made sure we're not going anywhere fast & kept the money in system but then again that'd give us too much money to improve our program

This will literally look like what would happen if the Denver Broncos played a high school team. I know we need money.....but damn. This will not help recruiting and simply exacberbate the embarrassment our program is currently suffering through.
