Fans can go to the Allstate Sugar Bowl Facebook page
https://www.facebook.com/allstatesugarbowl to vote for what they think was the best performance from this past weekend. When voting closes on Thursday at noon ET, the top vote-getter will be announced as the Manning Award Player of the Week.
Kay finished 24-of-38 for a career high 405 yards and four touchdowns in a 52-17 win at Rutgers. His previous best was 332 yards vs. Duke in the 2012 Belk Bowl.
He tallied four TD passes for the third time this season and fourth time of his career and is the first UC player to throw for over 400 yards in a game since Zach Collaros against USF on Oct. 22, 2010. Kay’s 400-yard game was the seventh in school history.
The Manning Award was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl in 2004 to honor the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning. It is the only quarterback award that includes the candidates’ bowl performances in its balloting.
