UC freshman guard Deshaun Morman was likely going to redshirt anyway, although the final decision hadn’t been made, but it appears now that he has no choice. Morman broke his right foot in practice Monday when he stepped on Sean Kilpatrick’s foot and will be out 6 to 8 weeks, according to UC coach Mick Cronin.

“He maybe was not going to redshirt,” Cronin said, “but now he has to redshirt due to medical reasons.”

Meanwhile, starting point guard Ge’Lawn Guyn, who left Saturday’s win over Appalachian State early in the first half with a sore right knee, did not practice Monday. Cronin said before practice Tuesday that he wasn’t sure if Guyn would practice or if he would play Wednesday against Campbell.

“He’s day-to-day,” Cronin said, ”just like his coach.”
