He would have had 40+ if he just hit his free throws :-)
I'm glad we won, but if you would have told me that we'd get 38 from Lee I would have thought we'd win by a lot more than 5...
Here's to a healthy Glenn Bryant on Wednesday!

It appears this year, unlike last year, we have a number of weapons both inside and out who can get it done on any given night.

That, to me, was the big story of the game last night.

I don't remember any two guards go off for 56 points last year.

Matter of fact, how many times did the TEAM fail to go off for 56 points last year?

With about 7-8 minutes left to go in the game, Murphy would have one of the guards dribble the ball near center court and his four teammates would stand in pairs to the left and right of the basket. Then with about 10 seconds left on the shot clock, the guard with the ball would attempt to get the offense going. It seemed very odd, very unnecessary and played into UTA's hands.

i agree 100%. we were up by 10-11 at that time and the slowdown offense gave new life to UTA. my guess is that Murphy doesn't trust Combs at the point the same way he trusts Talley, and maybe he wouldn't have gone that direction with Talley, but that's totally a guess.

i have to say, Combs played a lot better last night than i've given him credit for so far this year. hats off to him.

The important thing as we have been saying here and I heard Chad and Murphy discussing is that this team is arguably 11 deep.

That will be great as during the season there might be injuries or foul trouble or a shooter hits a slump and can't hit the broad side of a barn. SGs are notorious for getting into shooting slumps.

A year ago, even before his injury, Lee was looked upon as a 5 - 6 PPG man as a frosh. Not someone who could go for 20, 30 or nearly 40 points.

I bet the Wildcats are quaking in their boots down in Lexington. 03-lmfao

Okay, because it is now 19 degrees in Lexington. 04-jawdrop

Nice seeing Super at the game last night. I came to see Ward but came away impressed with Lee and Combs, not so impressed with Talley Riley. There were times it looked we wanted to give the game away despite our athletic abilities, not much on the shoot blocking last night. Glenn Bryant looked healthy in warms ups but didnt' play-???? At different times it appears this team is capable of heating it up from outside or do a clear out play like Combs did a few times by driving inside. If all the parts Murphy has assembled hit at the same time we may very well win the MAC this year.
