In 2 weeks, there will be similar rumors out there about several of our coaches.

That's tough. I think they need to give most of their coaches until the end of next year before making large changes. They all just arrived this year and are trying to get that train wreck cleaned up.

I'd bet large sums of money that their losing streak ends soon...

The OL coach was obviously successful before he got there. Maybe he was going o'fer on the recruiting trail. Remember, this is a school that canned Ellis Johnson after one season too. After going to 11 bowls in 17 seasons under Jeff Bower, their desperation is showing.

I think they do. Our team is beaten, bruised, and demoralized. FAU ended their streak against us a couple years ago.

I'm sure there is a legitimate chance, but the same thing can be said about USM.........they haven't had 978 injuries though.

They're kinda in the same boat as us injury wise having had numerous defensive injuries but do agree w/ BB about us being beat down. Is USM in worse shape injury or morale when they come to town???

USM is injury plagued too. I don't think the losing streak ends this year.

Southern Miss has an O-line coach? Who knew?

I watched a USM game the other day and you couldn't tell that they had an O-line, much less an O-line coach.

I'm sure our defense will make their offensive line look like one of the best in the conference.

And I bet likewise their defense will return the favor.

Pete did something beyond coaching a bad OL to deserve this.

I don't see his name in the arrest reports.

I wonder if he spoke his mind at Monken with just a bit too much candor.

It would seem that something beyond sucking occurred. If he just sucked, they'd have let him finish the season, methinks.

Maybe an "old friend" of the FBHC just came available for that position?
