ETSU released the following statement this morning: ETSU President Brian Noland was involved in an automobile accident on Monday evening. He remains in the hospital and is in stable condition. Dr. Wilsie Bishop, who serves as our Chief Operating Officer and Vice President for Health Affairs, will assume full administrative responsibilities while he is recuperating. We will keep the university community updated on President Noland’s condition. Thank you.

Terrible news. Encouraging that he's listed in stable condition though. Hopefully he can get back on his feet quickly and back to life. Get well soon Dr. Noland!

Fantastic!!! I would to wish Dr. Noland a very speedy recovery and it is great to hear about him transitioning back to work in December. That is great news for his family and for his University!

Indeed. One of my worst fears was the the wreck was much more serious than we hadheard and that he may have considered giving it up. I'm glad it didn't come to that.

It was a crazy deal that's for sure. Glad he's doing better and can atleast field calls from the school. The last thing ETSU needs is Wilsie Bishop running things.
