Break up the MAC West
Who'd a thunk the West would have two undefeated teams, a sweep of tonight's games and an NIU win at this point in the season?

When was the last time a men's MAC hoops team started a season a modest 4-0?

Toledo hadn't been 2-0 since something like 2007.

Right on schedule, 1-3 four games in, just like 2012/2013.

Yeah but all 3 losses have been close and we count those as wins when you suck as bad as we do.

Just to think if we could make more than half of our free throws, we could possibly be sitting at 2-2, or even 3-1. Then again, I'm probably getting ahead of myself.

I thought you literally wanted to break up the MAC West to take out certain teams from the West division in football so Toledo would not have to face them.

I rather like the idea of playing "certain teams", win or lose. Winning is always better, but good games are also excellent

RE: Break up the MAC West
BTW. 4-0 EMU, homestanding EMU, plays UT-Arlington (not UT-Austin 05-nono) Saturday and has a very good chance to start the season 5 - 0.

Last time EMU was 4 - 0 was apparently around '96 during the Boykins, Dial, etc. era.

We will come back to earth on Wednesday when we travel to Kentucky to play yes, Kentucky-Lexington, AKA The University of Kentucky or AKA NBA PrepSchool @ Lexington. 04-jawdrop

It's very much a down year, there. They have been reduced to starting five freshmen. Surely EMU should win that one. I mean how good can a team starting five frosh be?

Yep, they're a very inexperienced bunch. You saw what happened when they played a veteran team from the state of Michigan. Clearly, that will happen when they play any veteran-laden team from the Mitten. Eastern has this one in the bag!

Or else one could say we're playing a NBA team a year early.

Should make watching the NBA draft more relevant to EMU players and fans.
