Kent State beats #20 Michigan...
...in wrestling. See http://www.kentstatesports.com/news/2013...=wrestling

There's more to the MAC than the revenue sports.

I was expecting a letdown in wrestling this year, with the graduation of 2011 NCAA 197-pound national champion and 2011 and 2013 MAC wrestler-of-the year Dustin Kilgore. Maybe not

I'm sure Michigan was better than you again, you just happened to luckily win. 03-wink

#24 CMU lost to #11 Oregon State, 22-13. The Chippewas didn't wrestle three injured starters and an injured backup. The latter case led CMU to forfeit a match, which by itself can be accounted as a nine-point swing.

Yes, CMU lost and OSU won fair and square. But if Central can get healthy, don't be surprised if they wind up as a Top 10 to 15 duals team.

Incidentally, the five MAC schools (OU, CMU, EMU, KSU, NIU) at the EMU Duals wound up 9-3 against D1 competition last weekend.

Only if he was a lock to win.

You're right. KSU would have to be really lucky to win in golf and baseball too!

Not a lock, but he was in the NCAA's last year and I don't think his opponent was. Plus the other two injured starters have also been in the NCAA's, which could have flipped one result and/or led to bonus points for the other.

Once again for emphasis, Oregon State deserved their win, but don't sleep on CMU wrestling this year.

I don't think anyone sleeps on a very good program like CMU.
