Maybe 1 in a hundred they would beat USC. Game is on Colorado though.

"Glad I've had time to play some golf this year. Hopefully all the critics will shut up now that my team is 9-2 and moving up in the national rankings. Wait, what's that?.....Oh yeah, we can go 10-2 with a win at home against Louisville."

With #25 Minnesota losing today, should help our chances to climb into the top 25.

Our record is still a paper tiger, what's your point? It's still on this staff that we're not in control of our own destiny. I'm fine with where they're at now, but abandoning their plan that wasn't working and using the personnel in a sane manner doesn't erase the two losses to two very poor teams that we really had no business losing to. They deserved to catch all manner of crap they did from people that were upset.

So......you felt before the season began that UC would finish 12-0? Really?

What's that got to do with the price of tea in China? This isn't the beginning of the season, I have the team's performances to look back on and see what we have and what we faced. Having two losses that didn't come against Houston/Louisville/Rutgers with our schedule and being happy with that is being happy with mediocrity.

Can't change the past. Like I said, I'm happy with where we are now and what we have a chance to accomplish. I'll be happy with another ten win season and a Keg of Nails in our possession for the foreseeable future.

The USF loss was terrible, but a lot of it had to do with lousy play, not just coaches.

It's on the coaches to have them prepared and motivated so that we don't lose to one of the worst teams in the FBS.

Kay didn't look quite right that USF game...Started the game 0-3 with the second drive ending with an INT (put USF up 10) and UC is down big at the half...UC started the second half with 3 straight Kay passes and we went 3 and out...USF scored their first drive of the second half....next drive Kay throws another INT...we dug a big hole just like the game at Illinois.

UC did not find any rhythm in that USF game until late in the 3rd quarter...Kay has looked much better since that game though.

They should have been undefeated going into the Rutgers game. And right now they are playing great ball which would have made undefeated possible. The schedule was ridiculously weak to open up the season. Illinois and especially USF are simply embarrassing losses. You can't hide from that. Undefeated sounds impressive but with this schedule it would have only been so because of a win at Houston and home vs. Louisville. The rest before that is pretty much garbage.

The good news is that they turned it around and now a BCS game is at least possible.

My point is that anytime during the season you get a "bad loss" it sucks. How ya finish at the end of the year is what counts. IMO I am not settling for medicority with a chance to end the season 10-2, beat Louisville and get ranked in the top 25. Sorry, but I can't help but enjoying our wins.

I enjoy our wins too, but a good record doesn't make me happy if the play on the field is poor. No matter the sport, if merely a good record's enough for the fans/coaches/players there should never be much hope of success in the post-season.

For you, not for others though. Have fun not being happy.

What's not having hope for competing against good teams got to do with me not being happy with the team's play? I don't go into games with expectations that aren't realistic based on what I've seen. What are you going into these games expecting that would make you so happy?

Are you aware that most Ville expect Cincy to win. Are you aware that they barely beat Memphis today? I like my team to win, they did. Have fun being not happy.

Why do you assume that I think Ville is a good team? I expect us to win if we spread the field, make good decisions, and limit our turnovers. If we play like we did today I don't expect a win.

You seem to assume that me not being happy with the team's performance on the field (i.e. looking past their record) is a bad thing that prevents me from enjoying the season. Not being happy does not necessitate unhappiness.

Where did I say that you thought Ville is a good team? So you did not like our chances against Houston, who lost to Ville, but now you like our chances against Ville?
