RE: "JMU to FBS will cost students too much"
I had this guy for POSC 201 two years ago. He's /extremely/ pompous, loves to hear himself talk, and I highly doubt that he knows anything meaningful about sports. The way he talked he seemed to think of himself as being among the ranks of the so-called "Philosopher kings." I certainly hope the university doesn't take his opinions on any types of sports seriously.

Sounds exactly like an educational elitist who can tell you in theory according to the book how it 'should work', but has no 'real world' experience as to how stuff really gets done.

This Lubert guy can SUCK-IT!!!! He would probably need directions to BFS or the Convo.

That's probably why they pay him $57k which is less than most starting salaries coming out of school in professions where you actually have to deliver under pressure.

Dude, I don't like his opinion either, but you're being an a-hole about an entire profession.

Maybe he is painting with a littel too broad of a brush - but I get his point. There are way to many of the educational elite in academia (at all universities) who spout this BS and have no idea how the real-world works and have had to actually work in industry/business.

I just take issue with his assertion that the salary is low due to a low pressure job. That's garbage. My job is filled with constant pressure to deliver. I know he's just trying to take a shot at the dude, but it's an ignorant comment. And no, his girlfriend spending 2 solid months at the pool is not evidence to the contrary.
