CMU took advantage of it and got the job done anyway but it doesn't look like 6 wins will be enough this year. But yea, no need to apologize for getting selected for a bowl. Plenty of MAC teams have been screwed out of bowls in the past. I have no doubt the LCPT loves CMU since they bring so many people.
That was Lousiana Tech's AD. MTSU did not receive any invites. Only difference this year is we have a win over a bowl eligible team in Ohio. They could finish 8-4 and that looks good. Last year our best win was a 4-8 Iowa team.
My bad, got the 2 teams mixed up.

And yes, I will celebrate, TYVM.
No it doesn't. It means you haven't watched any WMU games this year. Dude, you were playing a team with 1 win, and that win was due to a coach going for a 2 point conversion and missing it at the end of the game. There is a reason we are 1 - 10. Our offense is inept, except for Corey Davis, who is no threat when your QB throws 10 foot high bullets. If you want to celebrate "holding WMU to 22" be my guest. I think that only BYE might give up more points to the Broncos but it would be close.
You won fair and square. Not disputing that at all. Just pointing out that the Broncos did as much to stop themselves as your defense did. That's been the story for us all season under the elite PJ flecktones.

Yes because there was a blizzard before the game which caused everyone to stay at home including myself. They have the 2 biggest crowds in that bowls history.
Hate to be that guy... But this is also incorrect. Wmu has the highest attendance in the LCPB. Cmu has the two highest attendance marks in the motor city bowl. Different bowls with different sponsors and ticket promotions.

Give me a break man. You knew what I meant. I will re-tool my statement:
CMU has the two highest attended Bowl games in the history of the bowl games at Ford Field, in Detroit. Better?

Dude, it's the same bowl game.
Last I checked, they didn't press the reset button on Rose Bowl records when AT&T stopped sponsoring it.

I'll say the same thing I said last season, when CMU finished 6-6. I won't complain if we don't go bowling, an I don't really expect it. But I also won't apologize if we somehow end up in a bowl.
Prior to last season, much was said about Cubit being "good enough not to get fired, but not good enough for a large program to steal him." (and this was generally true)
If Enos pulls off 6-6 (likely) and gets a leftover bowl bid somewhere, is he now the annual candidate for this quote? I would almost say so. Pretty hard for Heeke to fire a guy who gets you to bowl games in consecutive years.

Possibly. But then, Enos was pretty raw when he got the job, is a lot younger than Cubit, and could still be on the upswing. I've been trying to stay pretty neutral on this topic, until at least four years were in the books. I've seen coaches have instant success then flounder and coaches struggle before turning things around. I still have some hope Enos will be the latter. Similar to Quinn at Buffalo right now.

Brady Hoke had five years of mediocrity until he got BSU over the hump into a bowl and then capped off with a great 2008 season. You never know when it'll happen next.

How bad is it for us Bronco fans? Ponder this.....
This is the first winless season on our home field in 60 years. That's quite a mark that PJ has set which will live in infamy. Never say that Fleck is not making history.
