They are winning by an average of 42 points a game. That's just ridiculous period..

FSU's SOS is what, around #70? It's a soft schedule and will get softer.

Don't the computer ratings take that into account? Yet they are #1 in the computers.

My point was based upon my belief that they already had gone ahead and even after they go ahead, it wont matter.

They will be stuck in a crap Fiesta Bowl against a lower opponent and if Ohio State wins against Oregon in the Rose Bowl then they will finish the year in second place. It wont matter what Baylor does.

Baylor may still end the year ahead of Ohio State if both win out completely and go undefeated. Yes, I am saying that a 12-0 Baylor could very well finish ahead of a 13-0 Ohio State. A win against Oklahoma State will be huge. A combination of wins against OSU and Texas is stronger than what Ohio State has in front of it, including the Big Ten Championship.

I fully expect Baylor to be in 3rd place going into the Bowl Season.

They take that into account, but who knows what else they take into account? Most of these formulas are opaque. They aren't supposed to count MOV, but Sagarin was busted on that recently.

Unless the pollsters suddenly surge towards Ohio State, it is almost inevitable that Baylor will pass the Buckeyes in the BCS standings. They will step into the title game should Alabama stumble (FSU's schedule is so easy there's no chance they will).

It's really amazing that the ACC has 14 teams and not a single one of them can give FSU a game. That conference in terms of quality is one elite, amazing team and 13 teams that would struggle to win the MAC.

Personally I think FSU caught Clemson on a bad day. If they played again, I doubt you'd see the 51-14 debacle from before.

The following teams would win or finish in the top 2 of the MAC (outside of FSU):

Clemson, Miami, VT, Dook, GT, UNC, BC, Pitt. Heck I'm thinking Syracuse and Maryland would give it a good run. The only schools that really don't have a shot are NC State (which beat a MAC school this year) and UVA (which lost to a MAC school this year). These two teams haven't won an ACC conference game either.
