hmm.....the bottom of the ACC is really weak but at least the top teams are pretty good.

the ACC wanted badly to be the big east, nearly 50% of their teams are former BE schools, they have notre dame as a non FB member, they try to play their championship at MSG........

I guess it only makes sense that the Big Easts tendency to have terrible showings in OOC matchups gets inherited as well

The good news is this will be pretty much forgotten about come Feb-Mar

Let's hope. But as I've been writing for a while now, it will take a couple of years before the synergy of the incoming teams and the increased recruiting grounds for the non-Duke/UNC old guard get the ACC to where it just proclaimed itself already to be.

Until then, it's not as though any other conference is going to be a BEAST for the ACC to hurdle over.

Pitt has looked good so far so I don't really care but the league has definitely been pretty awful.

ACC basketball will be fine. There were major rule changes that players, coaches, and even officials have to get used to. The basketball season is also long, unless a team is clearly dreadful, there will likely be a turnaround.

It's not like Kansas, VCU, UConn, or @Cincy or @ Providence in OT were bad losses.

Indiana St isn't a bad team either. I was mainly surprised that ND lost in the Joyce.

But at this point, the bottom of the ACC appears to be worse than what we are used to.
