Playing the devil's advocate on the 2014 Football season
First, I like Coach Strong, He seems to be a nice moral man and a good role model for young men to follow.

With that said, nonetheless, many on here are missing seeing the forest for the trees being in the way. Our offense is under performing against a minor league schedule and our defense stats are build upon that same minor league schedule! To say other wise is to be in denial.

So I will play the devil's advocate here:

1) The Florida Sugar Bowl win does not seems so huge now as Florida is now 4-6, their coach is on the "Hot Seat", and they are struggling against P5 caliber opponents this year.

2) We could not dominate a 2 win, bottom feeding Kentucky team.

3) We were unable to dominate CUSA level teams on our schedule.

4) Our 9-1 record is primarily against G5 or worst cup cake teams.

5) So I say, it still needs to be proven, what type team we will be in the P5 world next season. I know the Watson offense minus Bridgewater
will struggle badly in the ACC, as will our special teams play, because defense alone will not carry the day in the ACC!

6) Bottom line Charlie is doing to have to fine tune his coaching staff.

I am not saying Strong should go are any thing like that, but I am saying he is going to have to make some hard decision about his staff in order to fine tune the program for the P5 World.

My take on the season is there is No Sense of urgency. Again We play into the hands of Our Competitors game plan. We need an offense that wants to strike early and often like Petrino did. No so sure Teddy will go Pro yet. He seems to enjoy College life and game but I wouldn't be surprised to see Him in first 5 NFL picks either. Need Gardner to start taking more snaps as QB to have in game experience for next season. Why hasn't Quick been used more ? And Our Backs like Dyer used more? Seems the game plan has slowed to a crawl. Maybe We don't want to leave a BCS payday behind for the AAC. I don't have an answer. I hope We have a good matchup in Orlando if that's where We wind up.
