He had quite a remarkable career. Plainly, he was injury prone. Even if Matt Millen hadn't destroyed the Lions, Charlie probably wouldn't have been able to stay healthy. Then he gets to go home to Pittsburgh where he apparently did everything he could to help the team win and performed remarkably well when called upon. Beating the Ravens in Baltimore last year was something the Patriots couldn't do. His career seemed over about a half dozen times before it really was.

But his foundation and work with kids has really been something to be proud of as a fellow alumnus.
