Excellent analysis. I've heard it said that you need 3 "star" players to win an NBA championship and at least 2 to win an NCAA title. This kind of identifies the contenders then, huh?

No. There's a huge difference between being Top 10 quality and Top 100 quality. There aren't many "star" players but there are plenty of quality guys in the Top 100.

Fair enough. I would think there are at least 100 freshmen "difference makers", but how many such players do you think there are (per year)?
