Alleged rape.

Duke Mondy and Dante Williams. I remember we recruited Williams when Ramsey was still here. He's an Ann Arbor kid. They deserve their day in court, but this is disgusting if its true. Considering bail is set at 100,000 according to the article, I'd say they have some pretty good evidence.

Mondy was a teammate of Still at Providence and given a 2nd chance at Oakland.

Yeah I'm pretty sure he was arrested for sexual assault at Providence too. Whoops.

Strictly in a basketball sense, this is a deathblow for Oakland. They were down to only 8 scholarship players as it was, according to Kampe on twitter about a month ago. Now they lose arguably their most valuable player.

That game just got considerably easier for us.

And this tarnishes a good coach and a good program. Geez.

I guess kampe said they were released without being charged now. Hmm...

What EagleSam said is correct, but just to add, Kampe said there was more to it than just a curfew violation, and the players are suspended until he completes his investigation. I agree with Hmm...

People I've talked to who would know say Kampe is a real horse's pucker. Color me unsurprised by any of this.

Not necessarily. He's a very good coach. Certain folks in coaching circles don't think he's a great guy. Personally, I've never met him.

Okay. There is '79, Bovine, and certain coaches view and EMU Steve.

I have never been a fan of his. Not sure what I've heard but I never thought of him as someone EMU should hire.

I don't like him, but I respect the fact that he's gotten Oakland into the NCAAs, gotten positive press for his program and outrecruited us and has a winning record at Oakland. He gotten results while EMU buried its program under Boone and Ramsey.
