Watched whole game. Never got the sense that being down unerved this team. Nice steady comeback. We need to tighten up our D and we can go far. Love the deep bench has me giddy.

Why do you have to be such a daddy downer??? we beat them even with the refs doing everything the could except calling fouls on the free throws... geeze... and 95 points in a college game... are you kidding me? plus they made clutch free throws...

Yeah, what's wrong with me bringing everyone down by saying its a huge win? BC is 0-3. Last I looked great teams don't start off 0-3.

OK! I get it now. When I say it's a huge win over an ACC team on their home court it's a downer, when you say beating an ACC team on their home court is huge it's sheer, exuberant fandom. Gotcha.

They're not bad. They're picked to finish 8/15 in the ACC.

I watched the entire game. They are slow and will get kicked around the ACC. (Because the ACC is a powerhouse)

Unbelievable win for this program, don't get me wrong!... We outplayed those guys tonight.

I do firmly believe that Detroit, Robert Morris, Kansas, Cleveland State, EMU, and a few from the East will field better teams than B.C.

Great win for the UT men's basketball program! This is a really big win for UT!!! This cannot be overstated. It's taken a lot of commitment by UT to restart this program and it looks like good things are finally back/here again at Savage!

Very solid win for our program. When Colorado came to The Glass Bowl and we slapped them stupid up and down the field, nobody cared that Colorado was terrible. It was all about the Big 12 coming here and getting destroyed. The MAC isn't supposed to visit the ACC and come away with a W, cause if they were, they wouldn't have been invited to begin with. I don't care if they're 0-3. A couple years ago we couldn't even beat zero-win teams like Northern Illinois on the road. I'll take this!

BC is pretty decent, imo. they were the most improved team in the acc last yr and have everyone back. they lost their first 2 like the UT game in the final minute after leading most of the game (at Big East Providence and to A10 UMass). they were well coached, could shoot and had poise until they fell behind in the last minute. not a real fast aggressive team w the ball which the new rules seem to favor. also might struggle a bit on the boards in the ACC.

some sneaky good teams still to play non-conf. Robert morris is solid, stony brook is good, cleve st and Detroit will be decent if not good...

The offense was impressive despite not getting many good looks from three-point land. Getting to the rim, converting and going to the line is a good three-point strategy. The defense needs work. They stepped it up late in the second half and just in time. There were no shot clock violations on either team which I found surprising. I'm looking forward to the team improving and being really fun to watch.

OK, so I looked closer at this 2k tourney format. I'm not a math/physic's major, but can someone help me figure out how their bracketing works?

From their website: The 2K Sports Classic benefitting the Wounded Warrior project is the nation’s premier season-opening college basketball tournament. Twelve teams from across the nation will be compete in the event with four of the top teams in the country serving as regional hosts. Regional round action takes place from Nov. 14-17 with the four hosts advancing to the Championship Rounds, Nov. 21-22 at New York’s Madison Square Garden. The remainder of the field will participate in a round-robin series at one of the two subregional sites, thus every participating team is guaranteed four games.

Bracket: http://www.gazellegroup.com/events/wwp/w...racket.pdf

So the host teams regardless of win/loss go into one bracket and the remaining teams flow into another bracket. When you look at the bracket it shows "championship rounds" Nov. 21-22 at Madison Square garden, but no date for the "championship game", but the subregional sites have games on Nov. 22, 23, 24. We have a gap in our schedule from Nov. 24 - Dec. 4, so does this mean that there's a chance we could play in Madison Square Garden? Not that I'm penciling us into a championship game. I just find the format and dates vague? Especially when the tourney website doesnt' list a date for their championship game? WTF?

Well, for two games this team has been incredibly entertaining. The new rules seem to be leading to higher scores if my brief foray through the NCAA games so far is any indicator. Nice to see guys who can grab the ball and go straight up and dunk with authority as Weatherspoon and Booth did last night. all the pieces are there. My only worry is that we are not nearly as good when Juice is not on the floor. What amazing confidence and he's one of those rare athletes who seems to step it up in the big games. It's going to be nearly as much fun as watching Larry Bastfield dribble for thirty seconds every possession while Jake Barnett runs through twenty picks and finally has to take a last second shot from whatever horrible position Bastfield got him the ball in.

Larry Bastfield the only player in NCAA history who could be the starting point guard, play for 39.5 minutes a game and end up with straight zeros in the box score.

He'd never turn it over, which is remarkable because all he did was run around and dribble out the shot clock every possession.

The 4 hosts are the only ones goin to msg. Championship is nov 22. These are just random games for us, not a tourny

So on the bracket, the lower slot is for the consolation games for the teams above? We're basically in a tourney that goes nowhere? We're guaranteed 4 games, but they're basically just road games because we can't advance through the bracket. OK, screwy format, strange. So if we win 3 games in Detroit, we just go home, again, strange format.

Yep, they started these "tournaments" a couple years ago. Best thing is it only counts as one competition on the schedule, so it allows for teams to play more games.....per NCAA rules.....03-phew
