A poster at Texags indicated that TCU might be the likely destination.

That would make sense, TCU just shifted to a version of the Air Raid this off-season. Joeckel would be familiar.

Meacham's offense is nothing like Sumlin's offense. I've seen both.

It's a different branch of the tree, but both Meachem and Kingsbury worked under Holgorsen. And also Sonny Cumbie is the new TCU QB coach who also worked with Kingsbury and Holgorsen in the past.

If Joeckel had actually been able to graduate in December, his joining the Rice squad as a graduate student this spring would have made sense. It seems he is not particularly close to graduating, since he is looking to transfer with the sitting-out penalty as opposed to graduating with eligibilty.

Chron says he graduated and will be able to play immediately:

ESPN just announced that Joeckel will be transferring to TCU, and will be eligible to play in 2014.

Now the fun begins! It's time to play "Which Graduate Programs are available at TCU, but not Texas A&M?!?" My money's with Joeckel getting his Master of Fine Arts in Modern Dance. Their program seems a bit more advanced than A&M's course offerings in the two-step and the Manziel Moonwalk.
