A little more information on the Haas situation:

Isaac Haas Did Not Sign National Letter of Intent: What We Know

Hope he ends up at UAB but what a strange turn of events.

Well, that wasn't really any more information it was just the information we knew about all spelled out in one place.

I skimmed the thread and I had not read the stuff about his family. Sorry if I double posted.

No problem.

It is more on the blogger not providing anything really than it being a repeat of what has been mentioned here.

Wake Forrest commit Isaac Haas is open wake had to go in another direction he will land at UAB....

See what does that mean? Why would they back off him?

I suspect Haas told Wake Forest that he wanted to wait until the spring to sign to see if the WF coach would be fired. Wake said, "Well, if you can't sign with us now, there's no guarantee you'll sign with us then, so we need to go to our next option." Haas said, "Okay, good luck. And GO BLAZERS!" 03-nutkick

I also suspect Haas got a phone call from William Lee (based on Lee's comments about another highly touted recruit, although it may not have been in reference to Haas).

If he lands on the South side, this conversation would be an historical footnote.

Just wanted to get a post in to be part of history. 03-lol

Haas' most recent tweet: "This makes four sleepless nights."

The kid seems tormented.

Easily remedied with a signature with UAB. Come on down and be a Blazer, Isaac. Join this class and make some history.

RE: Haas delays signing
It can be a really ugly business at times.

I wonder sometimes how you handle recruiting several players if more players want to sign with you than you have spots available?

Do you hold off on some commitments waiting to see if another player that you may want more to commit?

What if a player commits to you that you didn't really want to commit?

These things are more way out in the open now than they used to be.

How could he be tormented for 4 days if he didn't find out about it until Tuesday evening or so?

It is sometimes hard to realize that things happen for a reason and the best thing for you may be the end result instead of what you thought was best.

Maybe he decided to reconsider 4 days ago.

OR

Maybe he has insomnia or has been sick and can't sleep.

Who knows? But if Haase still wants him, then I hope he comes to UAB!

RE: Haas delays signing
I think he is very familiar with how UAB & its games are.

If you recall, I don't believe he ever took an official visit to UAB.

I think he committed to Wake a week or two before he was supposed to visit UAB.

Still good though that it appears that he may ink with us.

We've seen him at Bartow before. I think he's well familiar with Bartow and the program.
