RE: Wednesday night MACtion thread
I wish Desmond Howard called every MACtion game, he's been a lot more complementary about the teams than some others ESPN stiffs.

GAME OVA!

Lynch adds one more rushing TD and then NIU gets a pick 6 to go up by 21.

I'm loving the Fresno St forum. They are mad and calling both teams bad...blah blah blah

That was a fantastic game. Good for TV and close until the last 5 mins of the game.

Ball State gave us a tough test. Glad to see we are still resilient when necessary.

Second half has been our thing the whole year and we did it again. Held Ball State to 3 points in the 2nd half.

RE: Wednesday night MACtion thread
Great game......great crowd for Wednesday night (about 20K?).....and a great game atmosphere. Since my brother is a BSU grad and a big fan (season tix suite holder), I felt kinda bad rooting for NIU, but I love the thought of a MAC team ranked in the top 10 and maybe another BCS buster. That last pick six for NIU was meaningless but will probably help NIU with the pollsters (esp the ones that didn't see the game) and maybe the computers as well. Great night all around...congrats to the NIU folks for having such a great crowd on a cold, mid-week November night!

They're idiots. niu should definitely jump shoot Fresno now. Ball St. is a quality team and niu got a quality win tonight.

My friends said they were absolutely freezing at the game. With how windy it always is in DeKalb that only makes it worse.

Wenning: 35 of 49 for 324 yards and 1 TD and 1 INT.

Lynch: 26 of 32 for 345 yards and 20 carries for 123 yards (avg. of 6.2 yards/carry) and a TD. Over 450 yards total offense...wow!

Wonder what the final tally for attendance will be...I'm guessing 20K plus...sure, it was a big game, but it was on a 32 degree November Wednesday night and NIU really did have a great crowd for this game.....the season tix and home side was full and the student side was 80% full until 3Q when the students got cold (or wanted a beer) and headed to the dorms to watch the rest of the game.

WOW. those dudes are some catty little b*tches. Sound like a sewing circle of angry old hens. Jealous, petty, and just dripping with envy. I'm embarrassed for them.

Well done Huskies.

I think i read that it was ~19k. Not that great but kind of have to make due with these late weeknight games. And to think, the game ended at 10:30pm CT. Hopefully people took off work on Thursday!

RE: Wednesday night MACtion thread
Nothing to be ashamed of......it was a great crowd for a Wednesday night in November......like many MAC schools in small towns like DeKalb alums live in other cities and ESPN Wednesday nights are "attendance killers"....just think if this game had been this coming Saturday afternoon when out of towners could attend and the weather is predicted to be in the 50's and sunny.
