A very good come from behind win last night a good number of students very vocal. Which begs the adage win and they will come.

I like the fact that Lee and Talley actually break down the defense by driving inside and drawing the fouls rather than nibbling and passing around the edges. To me that and Ward are the biggest differences between this team and last years.

Great point. I love how this team attacks the basket. 42 free throws in one game? That would've been unfathomable the last couple years. I know the terrible new hand check rule had something to do with it, but we got inside and drew shooting fouls quite a bit.

I also love our depth. We played 11 guys yesterday, and none of it was "garbage time minutes". That allowed us to press all game and stay fresh.

Yep, I was saying last year the problem was very weak PG play as described by '79.

And it was the reason for my optimism LAST year about THIS year's team, namely, Mike Talley.

Talley is the type of PG who, like a straw, can stir the drink to use an expression of Hoopster.

I posted on this forum many, many times that lack of a penetrating PG was the big problem last season.

I like Riley's backup he put a lot of emotion into the position.
