FSU doesn't know how not to score, they put up 40 in the first half quite a bit.

I think Saban is a very smart man. He wins by enough to prove the game wasn't close, but never blows a team out by 60 points. They obviously could name the score against 3/4 of their schedule, but they choose not too, so that they don't get any more attention than Saban wants.

There is a lot of rule bending (and probably even more rule breaking that we don't know about) going on at Bama. If Saban and his staff stay in place they could win 8 of the next 10 BCS bowls, easily. The last thing he wants is to start rubbing it in everyone else's face by dropping 80 points every week, and coaches/ADs start crying fowl to the NCAA for an investigation.

Also, Bama has nothing to prove. FSU/Baylor/Oregon/Stanford/Ohio State are still looking for style points at this point.

If you're not cheating you're not trying applies to more then just NASCAR. Not sure there is any more going at Bama then at any other school. But since the NCAA has no teeth, why not bend the rules as far as you can.

FSU is already in the driver's seat, the only thing that will keep them out of the national title game is Winston or other key starters getting hurt. Why risk it and show more plays to Florida and the conference title game opponent?

If they wanted to they could hang 100 points on any midmajor and probably 120+ on any sun belt opponent. Get the check, escape without any injuries, beat NMSU. That's the only point of this game.
