If OU is a dumpster fire, Miami is Pompeii during the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius.

I think most of us Bobcats are watching the basketball game right now. Football season is done for us. Its hoops season.

I think we're getting an early preview of what next year is going to be like for Ohio football.

RE: If its cold outside where you are
I'm seeing a pattern with football and basketball at Ohio. Now this may be a weak comparison, but here it is.

In basketball last year, we finished the season on a sour note. It seemed like all of the fire went out of our team. However, things are looking up for us this year, though it's way too early to tell for sure. In football, we had a good run in 2011 and then were destroyed by injuries in 2013. This year we had some good moments, but something has been lacking. We will see a lot of new guys next year. I'm hoping that we come out with as much fire as we did in basketball this year. It isn't a matter of winning and losing; that's part of the game. It's about HOW we win or lose. The way we've lost to teams that are supposedly comparable in talent is nothing short of embarrassing. I just want to see some fire in us next year, win or lose.

Perimeter actually believes the opposite. W/L matters. No good in a loss... Right??

But how much do you learn in losses like OU has had? I believe buffalo learned more this week than their blowout loss to Baylor because they showed a pulse in the second half. Whipped our butts actually. Something to build on, and fix.

Maybe I am wrong... But I wouldn't be surprised to see OU end 6-6 or 7-5. If they had given some teams a game and could teach from the hard fought losses I would expect OU to win out handily and be 8-4.

And Ohio just won the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Best Under the Radar Atmosphere competition. They're going to be filing in Athens during the Kent State game on Tuesday and will be featured on a Best of College Football special on CBS. (They beat out NIU and 5 FCS teams)

Well this is going to be awkward.

In the context of how these two games were played, there aren't many bullet points that need to be written on the chalkboard for this. However, the lesson you do learn is a BIG one. We pouted after bad calls and never recovered for 6 quarters. Lesson: no matter the circumstances, you MAN UP and play. If the refs keep throwing crappy penalties right and left, oh well. Worry about the things you can control. (Yes, I know how demoralizing it can be; I played sports in HS. It's not college ball, but show me a man who's ever coached who said to give up when facing adversity.)

The only difference between Buffalo and Ohio's "lessons" is that Buffalo was outmatched by superior opponents and it showed. Ohio had to dig deep and play to the best of their abilities. They failed.
