Marshall set some CUSA high-water marks against UAB
Quote:There’s more … That 11.9 per rush against the Blazers is a C-USA record (dating to the league’s 1996 creation), erasing the 11.5 that Louisville produced against Cincinnati on Nov. 27, 2004. The big day on the ground – an MU-record three backs eclipsed 100 yards – also fueled a conference single-game standard for average yards total offense.
Marshall’s 657 yards on 52 plays for 12.63 per play missed the school mark by .09 yards (versus VMI in 1991; 62-for-789), but the 12.63 erased the C-USA mark of 11.52, set by UAB against Florida Atlantic on Nov. 7, 2009.

The Herd’s total offense average of 12.6 against UAB is the best in the nation this season by more than 1.5 yards. The rushing yards per play of 11.906 against the Blazers also is tops, edging the 11.884 Auburn posted against Western Carolina.

If you research it, I think every team UAB has played has had a record setting day on offense against us. We suck on defense. So don't pat yourself on the back to much.

We will fire the entire defense staff at the end of the year, so hopefully they can somehow make some improvement on that side of the ball.

Don't worry, you play us in a couple weeks.

Not so sure that McGee has the stomach to pull that particular "trigger" on the defensive staff, & if not, he's playing "russian roulette" with his coaching career. And you're right, everyone that UAB plays seems to bring their "A-Game." I'll bet that the QB from Florida Atlantic that completed close to 65% of his passes against the Blazers hasn't had a game like that in conference play since, has he?

Well we were able to make Tulsa's newbie QB look like a Heisman finalist tonight. You're welcome.

He looked more like a finalist for the "Booby Award" on their last couple of drives, Marshall's pass rush was ferocious late in that 4th quarter.
