What reality? That his players suck? He should have high expectations! That is what being a winner is all about. I've been watching EMU football for 36 years, I've never seen a team quit like they did against NIU 3 years ago. That was embarrassing.
the reality of EMU and that his players didn't suck as you put. But that they need a real coach one that knows how to coach a team that has many personalities and you don't deal with all of them the same way. A winner is a person that gives their all but sometimes that isn't enough. But stills tries. A good coach pushes players up to a breaking point but doesn't go over. Ron always pushed HIS players past the breaking point he couldn't tell when he had all they could give. In my opinion he was not a good judge of the talent he had and how to use it.
You are not in the locker room, on the practice field, or in the film room so how you would know that Ron "always pushed his players past the breaking point" is beyond me. The truth is, you are just a fan, sitting in the stands, speculating.
and? I am not blind and I listen to the recording. This was not the first time did this.

Hearsay! You are levelling some serious charges. For your sake, I hope you can prove it.

RE: And what will a new head FB coach cost?
I was thinking about college head coaches and their salaries when I saw this link below..
http://www.coacheshotseat.com/SalariesContracts.htm
I see here that the coach from Temple is making 1.2 Mil per year..
NIU coach is making 500,000 per year, isn't this the salary range/scale that we should be using to land a top level coach at EMU?
If we really want a coach who will come in here to change the program around then we need to come off the $$$$$$$ this time or we will get a < 500 level coach.. Again I do not want a coach who is looking for on the job training.. I want a proven coach where we can look/review his past seasons and say to ourselves that if we want to turn our FB program around it should take "X's years.. No more newbie for me.. I am suffering thru two losing teams this year and they are calling for Friz head in Evanston (NU)..
I better hide all sharp objects.. I guess I will be home for the holidays in 2013..
Their will not be any bowl games for me this season..

Yes and no. If you don't have the money don't spend it. Besides, paying more doesn't guarantee a better coach, but it could increase the number of applicants.
BTW, your guys at NU didn't look too bright yesterday during the last few minutes of the game. I had the set on mute so I don't know what the talking heads were saying. With about three minutes left the QB let himself get pushed out of bounds to stop the clock and saved uofm time it desperately needed.

Ouch !!!!! Please don't make me relive yesterday must win game, Friz is a very poor games day coach and people are fed up with losing so many closes game at $2.MiL per year..
Now you see why I hangout with my friend Crown Royal so much.. He's the only one who understand me...
I had already sent congrats to wolverineeagle on his team win yesterday and he was very nice about it..
