My thoughts exactly... The ACC has the best Olympic sports in the nation.

For sure top conf in women's soccer, men's soccer, LAX, field hockey.

The women of the ACC kick butt. Lots of World Class athletes over the years and success feeds upon itself, so the pipeline ain't stopping anytime soon! I suspect that Maryland's women's teams
will give the B1G a B1G case of heartburn almost immediately. I think the popularity of women's
sports is really starting to explode, and the ACC is very well positioned to seize the day.

Six of the 8 teams remaining are from the ACC. All four #1 seeds advanced. Only one of the 8 "sweet sixteen" matchups didn't feature an ACC school. One of them featured 2 schools.

ACC is 21-1 in the tournament against non-ACC competition and has outscored those non-conference opponents 54-9.

The only loss was non-seeded Notre Dame losing to 3 seed Michigan 1-0 in the Sweet 16.

That's just flat out insane.

The ACC's as good as any conference when taking all sports into account. Wish it was better at football and generating revenue.
