Who wins the Miami @ Duke game ?

This could be very close. Miami has better players, but Duke is at home. Massey Computer Ratings has Duke at 51% chance of winning (basically a coin flip).

Talent irons out wrinkles. There is quite a talent disparity here. Duke is a product of a preposterously soft schedule. They lost to Pitt and GT, and were the beneficiary of some vintage Logan Thomas herp derping. They will lose to Miami. They will lose @UNC. Wake will be closer than most people think.

I picked Miami...I think Duke is better than normally they are but Miami is a whole another level of talent but they don't have as much as they did pre-ACC. Duke has a chance but I'm gong with Miami.

What I am finding out: The ACC middling teams are no different than the old BE middling teams. FSU, Clemson are the only difference...and in Cuse's case throw in GTech as we can't beat them as ordained by the football gods and our retarded coaches that day. VTech...jury still out IMHO.

The jury has reached a verdict: Syracuse cannot beat Va Tech either.

Miami should probably be a slight favorite (+4ish?) but nobody's going to be surprised if they lose to Duke. They nearly lost to 1-win UNC, an awful Wake, should've lost to UF and have now been humiliated two straight weeks after claiming to be back. They've got a truly inconsistent and mediocre QB and are without 2 of their top weapons on offense. Their defense is weak.

At this point, go Duke.

Miami has not been the same on offense since Phillip Dorsett and Duke Johnson went down with injuries. Stephen Morris, a senior, should rise to challenge, but our OC had to dumb-down the playbook for him to function.

On defense, our defensive line is not getting pressure on the QB, thus opposing QBs are looking like Payton Manning in the pocket. Also, for the life of me, I cannot understand why we cannot stop anyone on 3rd downs. Our zone defense cannot stop WR crossing patterns to save its life...

I tell you what, if Miami becomes too predictable on offense and defense, Duke can win this game.

Now, on topic, a bit of local info might be in order. Do not over-estimate Duke's "home field advantage". I know they are drawing more fans the last few games, but would be shocked if they have much more than 20-25K. Miami brought 10-12K to UNC 4 weeks ago. I'm picking Miami

LOL Of course! It just added to the night game atmosphere. And to be fair, plenty wore their colors without the bling. I have no problem with Miami fans and hope they had a great time in Chapel Hill.

Like I said yes they are a middling team. FSU is in a class by themselves, Clemson one step below, Miami/GTech next...then a free for all.

Well I expected to lose, and I was not disappointed.
