RE: Official Game Thread: Morehead State (L 63-71)
Sander may not like Murry, but who does? Unfortunately, I think he's here to stay. Talked with Noland tonight, who stuck to positive talking points about O'Field. According to Noland/Sander's opinion, O'Field will be the best player on the team when he qualifies, all classes considered. We've also got the commitment from Karl Overstreet and we're working on another 6'10 kid from West Virgina. Except for that second 6'10, maybe, I told Noland that I know most of what's coming up from online reading - he asked about ETSU Hoops. I also mentioned this messageboard, but he assured me with a little jeer that he doesn't spend time on messageboards. He ought to. At some point in the conversation, I said Murry had started tying the noose, but maybe he could undo it this season. We'll see. Tonight was the same bull**** we've seen with the bench. We had this game until mid-second half when our boys started to become exhausted. A couple different looks earlier on might have helped, too, in addition to the end of the game. Harris and Lester busted butt, but we need a real size presence. Underdog needs a big brother.

I'm not happy Major was sick, but I'm damn sure happy I missed this one. Guess who's not driving to Bowling Green Saturday...

Maybe someone can explain this better, I haven't met these guys or know any of them other than watching them on the court, but I just like this team more. Maybe the camera is playing tricks, but there just seems to be more effort and want to, even when they're out of place and you get frustrated at times, but they do play hard.

Did anyone hear Bartows LAME post game interview??? He actually blamed bad defense ( like not boxing out?) on the court switch at halftime... Players couldn't hear him coaching????!!!!!

It's equal parts fascinating and infuriating the lack of ownership that Bartow takes for his team's lack of fundamentals, energy, etc. What's the line from Remember the Titans? Attitude reflects leadership. Shaka Smart would have these guys wanting to go to war. Brittany Ezell is demonstrating that ability on the women's side.

Hilarious that we are getting killed on the glass and Bartow doesn't have the brains to realize that perhaps putting in our biggest, most experienced player for even a single minute might help out just a bit. Probably his way of punishing Luke for missing that freethrow against Charlotte....

Around 2400 in attendance according to box score. But, for where things are with this program, maybe not that bad. Facts are stubborn things.

The only way you could get to 2400 is if you counted the students in the dorms, no way that many people there. Hell the students that had to be at the game (Dancers, Cheerleaders, band working etc) far out numbered the students who came on their own.

Hopefully, the WKU game will have a better outcome. This team needs to believe they can capture the win, they have streaks of greatness, just need to put it together. MuBar won't be going anywhere, ETSU is throwing so much money at the football program they won't have any money to pay the last year of head coach contract and pay all the incidentals needed to hire a new coach.
