That makes sense...as Cuse and Pitt opened with Clemson and FSU. Looking forward to Louisville joining.

I think the Russell Athletic Bowl will probably take UofL unless the Cards have some sort of epic meltdown over their last three games. UofL has the best traveling reputation among the available American teams and the bowl can sell the event as UofL's first ACC game.

I think the Russell Athletic Bowl will probably take UofL unless the Cards have some sort of epic meltdown over their last three games. UofL has the best traveling reputation among the available American teams and the bowl can sell the event as UofL's first ACC game.

I think in contrast, the Belk Bowl if they don't already know, will know that the UL/UK basketball game will be going on at the same time as that bowl game, and so I anticipate them skipping over us, or maybe we even say to them to skip us because fan support in person and tv ratings will be down from normal.

IMO, it will, we love our football that's for sure, but it still wont get our undivided attention in person or on tv compared to a possible top 5 matchup against UK in basketball that starts at 4pm. So if Russell picks their 2 teams, not named UL, I think Belk will be smart to not pick us.....which then places us probably in the Pin Stripe bowl earlier that day at noon, right now projected to play WVU.

Yeah, I agree....if we lose again and disqualify ourselves from the Russell, fan attention might not matter anyways LOL. In the Russell vs Miami or VTech.....starting after the UL/UK bball game will work out much better for sure over the Belk....

As for the Pin Stripe if it comes to that...that won't be so bad either, for UL/WVU or the city....I'm sure both teams would travel well for that one and be an exciting lower tier bowl....where Andrew Johnson is once again blowing kisses to the WVU cheerleaders!
