Probably see E. Carolina in the Liberty Bowl, and either Rice of N. Texas in the Heart of Dallas Bowl. I can't see C-USA selecting anyone else for New Orleans if Tulane is eligible and they're already at 6 wins on the season.

I may be alone, but I am utterly bored by the prospect of playing Tulane in New Orleans. They are just a bad team that's caught some breaks, and I if that is our opponent, I expect it to be a blowout.

I was at first but then I thought about it. 50,000 Cajun fans and 10,000 Tulane fans in the dome would be awesome. Blowing them out on their home turf in NOLA will be awesome for recruiting in the fertile NOLA area. What better way to show a bigger better conference what the Cajun Nation is all about. I think we will actually draw better than ever before because Tulane for the uninformed fan is a big time program. I live in NOLA but I might just get a hotel room joy in the festivities and feel a part of the action.04-rock

This is 100% true, wish y'all could get a better bowl...our best bowl is against cusas 3rd or 4th best team? Sucks

I'm sure you're not alone and I understand the sentiment completely. I won't go so far as to call for a Cajun blowout but I do believe the match-ups favor the Cajuns in such a game.

Now, assuming that we're in the New Orleans Bowl and we're going to play a C-USA team, I'd rather it be Tulane than N. Texas or Rice. As someone pointed out some time back, we recruit against the Wave. It would serve the Cajuns well to demonstrate to undecided recruits that Cajun Field is where they need to play.

Yeah, true.. We'll have to get that elusive BCS win to move to better. We actually make money at the NO Bowl, so we'll take it till we have another option.

Do you really think 10,000 Tulane fans are going to show up to see a 6-6, or 7-5 team get pummeled?? I don't. Hopefully the Cajun faithful show up in mass again.

Dumb question- Because of the Cajuns great season if they win out would they not have a chance at an even bigger bowl?10-2 record. Why not?

No doubt UL has been very good at the turnover margin, yet we have won when not getting that stat like this past Thursday. TooLame really has not done anything other than win based on turnovers. I have zero fear of the Green Ripple, but I would rather play a good team.

There are no dumb questions....only dumb questioners.04-cheers

Dunno. Good question though I think the New Orleans Bowl will snag the Cajuns.
