CBB is better right after the CFB Championship Game.

RE: CFB vs CBB
I like CBB because you actually get a lot of great games. I mean, on Tuesday for instance you get 1 vs 2 and 4 vs 5 the same night. You never see that OOC in football. Never. Teams are willing to play each other because they know that you don't have to be perfect to make the postseason.

If college basketball ever gets the whole one-and-done thing figured out this will be tough. College basketball DEFINITELY has the better postseason - hands down. However, I have to go with college football, despite its obvious warts with regard to how it determines its champion.

Football - basketball sucks in comparison - can't match the drama - yes this comment made by NC State Fan so that you can realize the gravity of the comment. 03-wink

Most CBB games this time of year are cupcake games. Did you notice most matchups last night? Like CFB it gets better later in the season.

I like how CBB doesn't have a mythical playoff system. It makes every game actually matter.

RE: CFB vs CBB
it's more like most CFB games early are cupcake games. I mean look at some teams competing for the title this year in football-
Alabama- Va Tech, Colorado St, Georgia St, Chattanooga
Florida St- Nevada, Bethune-Cookman, Idaho, Florida
Ohio St- Buffalo, San Diego St, Cal, Florida A&M
Baylor- Wofford, Buffalo, La-Monroe

of the 15 games, what 2 are decent games before the year?

meanwhile, in the first week, 4/5 top teams will have a top 5 game in basketball. And the one that isn't playing has a game with #11 in 2 weeks.

Much of that is a reflection of playing 12 games in a season as opposed to 30 in basketball. The rest, as stated earlier by you, is that in football, a single loss can cost you a shot at the title, whereas individual games mean nothing in basketball. As long as you make the tournament(s), you have a shot.

As to which is better in my opinion, college football is much better and it's not close for me. Ranking all sports for me, it would be:

College/pro football
Major league baseball
College baseball
Lingerie football
Canadian football
Arena football
Spring football
Pro hockey
Australian rules football
Replays of football games
Women's softball
Rugby
then College basketball

College Football is presently but it's popularity is slipping. If Delaney, Bowlsby, Slive, Scott and Swofford aren't careful they will kill the golden goose that is college football.

College football needs a real play off with the champion of every conference getting a bid. Not this monstrosity with a bias selection committee charged with trying to slip The SEC 2nd place team into the 4 team play off without making it look like a sham.

This is pretty much the shape of things, don't really get into CBB until after CFB is finally done. But CBB is a blast COGS

you are joking. A year like the last 2, the SEC deserved 2 teams in. I mean, 2 years ago, Alabama was just a bit better than say Wisconsin.

No conference ever deserves two teams in the play-offs. Only undefeated teams should ever play for the national title. A loss is a loss. Doesn't matter if it happens at the beginning of the season, in the middle or at the end.

RE: CFB vs CBB
it's a shame that no one in power in college football agrees with you that is able to get something done. Big Ten and Pac 12 may have tried to fight for conference champs only, but we know where that got them. no where. no one believed 2 years ago that Wisconsin was better than Alabama. no one.
