Players and coaches will adapt. It's early.

I never liked seeing teams like Louisville get away with mugging UC.

You can still play defense without putting your hands all over the opponent.

Soooo, Craft at OSU should be fouled out by the 10:00 mark in the 1st half of every game this year...

Gonna be tough on Aaron Craft.

I'm nervous about the rules, but I assume both refs and players will adjust. Good win over a pretty good team after a very, very slow start. Excited about some of the freshman (Lawrence) when they get comfortable. Not particularly excited about Guyn's ability to finish at the rim.

UC also needs work at the point guard spot. It's just the first game, nothing to get worked up about yet.

I don't know guys, I just do not see it with this team. Maybe it's just me, hopefully I'm wrong.

Not likely. What is a foul for everyone else in the nation (outside of Duke players), is considered "great defense by Craft". He is a media/announcer darling.

Although, as a side note, Chris Mack was quoted in the paper as completely against and criticizing the new rules. Probably because his teams have been getting away with hack fests for years.

I said this before but, in a tight game, with our lousy FT shooting, we could possibly/probably lose a game we should not.

And also Louisville. Pitino teaches kung fu defense.

Not to mention, I don't see anyone on this team (outside of maybe Jackson) fighting for a critical rebound in crunch time.

We shot 24-32 as a team today. I'll take 75% every game from our players.

So will I, but I think this is an aberration.

Mick says it is the most disappointed he has been in Jackson in his four years.

Mick also said he is not happy with a lot of players refusing to accept their roles on the team, but that will be fixed because that is what they pay him for.

With the guys who shot from the line tonight, this is about what I would expect.

Those are the guys who will more than likely have the ball in their hand during the run of play. That's also not counting anything from Guyn, who is shooting at a roughly 90% clip in his [limited] sample size.

If Rubles and Jackson are going to fight for rebounds, then they will more than likely get a lot of free throws, and neither of them is a good foul shooter. Most everyone else is. Last year Rubles shot 66% and Jackson shot 51%.

Yeah...what genius decided on a Noon football game after an 8pm basketball game anyways? We can't blame TV execs this time...

Unless JJ shoots a high percentage of this teams free throws Id expect us to be a good FT shooting team. Especially with SK being so aggressive driving the ball this year.

Uh, yes we can. ESPN controls game times.
