So I'm reading the AAC board and see this gem..........
from a Louisville fan:
Except for UC, UCONN, and Mempiss, this entire league is chopped meat as you like to call it.
Now, I know this is a Belt forum and I should probably stick to posting about Belt-related subjects, but I find this whole conference realignment thing fascinating. Especially fascinating are the attitudes of many of the fans of any given school (Louisville in this case though I'm not trying to single them out) as they leave for another conference and insult those they're leaving behind or who have chosen to stay......schools that often competed for years and years against one another and probably exhanged a lot of wins/losses in the process.
I guess it's just human nature, though I'm sure I'll never understand it.

Many schools didn't choose to stay, but didn't get offered the invite they wanted. That is most of the AAC who were part of the Big East.

Lemme guess, don't like associating with 'southern' schools?

No, juts really thought they were better or more deserving than Louisville for that ACC invite. They didn't get it, associated with schools they left behind in C-USA and feel they have either regressed or been passed over. Then, like most humans do, to make themselves or the situation better, resort to name calling.

AAC is just a mess because of the Big East Separation. Lots of hard feelings between UConn and Cincy fans over the issue. In the mind of their fans all they did was get demoted to CUSA essentially.

I can't believe in all my years on the interweb, I have never heard the slur "Mempiss" before.

I don't know of any school more deserving than Louisville. BCS Bowl win, NCAA basketball national champs, CWS participant all in the same year.

There are a lot of factors that go I to wether or not a school gets an invite that are equally as important as on the field success.

Yea, they also went to the women's final four too last year. And its not their first recent win in the BCS, their first NCAA tournament championship either.

just showing how ridiculous uk fans are......they continuously refer to louieville as their little brother. in spite of last year's accomplishments.

Then you have the "special" kids at UAB trying to spell it....and failing.

That sign doesn't make sense on so many levels.

Notice the UAB student who got in our players face (bottom right, orange jumpsuit)...didn't work out well for him.

1. orange jumpsuit got the dogshit slapped out of him. thanks for pointing that out.
2. the sign does make sense aside from misspelling piss. iirc a memphis player had controversy over keeping his pimphand strong against one of his hoochie mamas. is that what they were trying to reference?

Yes, the sign would have been more effective had they spelled 'piss' correctly. Left me wondering if the author just didn't know how to spell Memphis.
And yes, I suspect the sign was in reference to a player dissing his baby momma.
