It is becoming common practice for opponents to throw backup QBs at ECU.

Tulsa's backup, Dane Evans, will get his 2nd career start. We think he may be good, but he has been inconsistent so far. Our senior starter, Cody Green, has had one of the worst QB years I've seen in watching Tulsa football for 40 years. He really wasn't much better last year, it was just that our good supporting cast covered up quite well & we ran a lot.

I don't see a close game, unless Evans really improves in start #2 & our receivers finally adjust to passes with some velocity on them (Evans throws hard..Green lobs it in). We're also missing our best O-lineman, maybe our 2 best o-linemen today, so it may get ugly.

Not much an expert on these two, but seems the two teams are pretty much opposite of the consensus pre-season opinions.

Lol, announcer on CUSA tv event says the AAC is "certainly a step up"

Tulsa should not be as bad as they are….They have some talent on the field and are a big physical team.

58 points is ECU's highest total this year but the 4th time over 50. That gives ECU the edge all time, 6 games to 5 against the Golden Hurricane. Moving forward, USF is the only team in the AAC with a winning record against us. USF came around right when we were at our lowest point & hopefully we can start to turn that one in our favor as well now that they are down & we're rising.

I dont know the state of your program but you have always been the class of the west since you joined the league and I am glad we will continue to play each other in the AAC. Even the best programs have a down cycle or fail to meet expectations. You guys are coming off a Championship and have played for several more. You guys will be back. Watts is a heck of a player. The best RB we have seen all year. Now go and beat Marshall.
