I think Kareem Canty and Chris Thomas will end up being a lethal backcourt that get no pub as this team is essentially all new. The only thing that worries me is a solid inside game but overall I think Marshall will easily finish in the top half of CUSA at 8th or above and I wouldn't be surprised to see us finish Top 4 and maybe as high as 2nd place. Marshall will finish no worse than 8th at the absolute worse.

The question is can Canty and Thomas stay eligible. Thomas has a track record of academic issues as well as legal ones. The question is did Marshall trade one locker room issue for another? This is not a slight against Marshall, just a noting of a pattern.

I wasnt doubting anything you said. I was just messing around with the little face.
Thomas might be kicked off the team quicker than a hiccup. He might become a hall of farmer and NBA first round pick. No clue. He might not even start. I'm just basing my prediction in the limited minutes I've seen him play and his talent I've seen before getting here. Even if something were to happen to him we are pretty deep at the guard spot. Our lack of depth is at the inside spots but there has been improvement from what we have coming back in that area. I think people are ranking us in the middle of the pack as they know we have plenty of talent but due to the fact it's all just now come together nobody's ready to make a solid prediction. So it's safe to say 8th. I don't think its out of the question that this team can compete and do great things. 1st place? No. 2nd place? Maybe if the season comes together perfectly. Top 5? I do t think that's a longshot at all.

I feel the about the same with our team this year. I think the guards will be as good as last year, overall we add height there. Stith and White a looking great from what I've seen. Zangari and Gulmette are the question marks. Both look more physical now, playing a little faster and shooting better. Can they step up and hold down the low post enough and can Stith and White help them that the question.
