About as close as it is to Mexico.

Don't ask any San Antonian about geography, they call themselves "The Gateway to Mexico" and you can see by the map someone included here just how far Mexico is to them.

$90,000,000 for a high school stadium is ridicules; at least the voters could see that; where will all this end?

RE: Astrodome
I grew up near Houston and went to many an Astros game in the Dome. hate to see it go, but just can't justify spending the money needed to keep it up. Money will eventually win out over history. It's sad, but that's the world we live in today. Hope I'm wrong.

Great site. I have been interested in this project as Tulane is faced with many similar challenges as ODU regarding building an OC facility. Will seat 30K.

This is probably what pisses me off the most about Tulane leaving CUSA. I was really looking forward to tailgating on Tulane's campus every 4 years when USM came to town, giving Tulane a nice boost to their attendence numbers and maybe catching another game there during the season when the Eagles were playing away too far for me to make the trip. Now I just hope they can just get a good number of the students to attend and re-create the old uptown resident support to put butts in the seats.

I lived in Houston from the age of 5 until 12 and caught a lot of Astros and Oiler games, as well as many rodeos, in the Astrodome. Great memories of sitting in the stands with my dad.
