So it looks like only 5 home games out of 12 for the 2014 schedule? The only OOC home game is vs. St. Francis most likely?

Oh boy...another offseason of anger at JB on here it seems.

Note: If that does hold (which I don't think it will), then it is actually pretty egregious.

What about Elon, I can't wait to see Elon at BFS. Tom Yeager says that Elon is great addition to the CAA. I bet that weekend is the very game that the current students get that "gotta go to the game" feeling in their blood that lasts a lifetime.

Something isn't adding up with the schedule. We have 5 OOC games planned. Somebody is going to have to be dropped if we're looking to be in the playoffs.

I can see two scenarios unfolding...either they're gearing up for 2014 to be a transition year (a la ODU) where we need as many games as possible because we aren't playing a conference slate or admin is expecting Maryland to renege and just buy the game out. In which case we'll have a bye week the first week of the season a la 2009.

As of now, UMD's OOC is full and pretty challenging for 2014 with games at Syracuse, at Syracuse and home WVU. I doubt they want to buy us out only to have to pay a low end MAC or C-USA school even more money to come to Byrd for a one game fling. I guess they could be looking at a home/home with a lower FBS mate but it seems unlikely.

I'm not finding a released schedule from Towson yet. I'm not sure why JMU says Liberty on 9/27, but UD thinks they're coming to hburg that same day. I would like to beat them both at once.

That makes sense. I can't see JMU playing 3 road OOC (UMD, UNCC, and Lehigh) and only 1 home, meaning 5 home games and 7 road. Also there can't be 13 games. One of those 3 presumed away games must not be happening next season.

...which is why I have been skeptical of the 2014 return date to UNCC from the time it was announced. 2015 would make more sense unless we already knew, but hadn't announced, that one of the other OOC games had fallen through - but JMU still lists all 4 OOC games including MD. Strange.

Maine doesn't have Delaware next season but does have Richmond. I'm guessing that Maine might be on your schedule if you don't play UNH.

I believe St. Francis will be asked if we can play that game at a later date. It would actually be a good game for us in a transition year (see Appy State). Was St. Francis a 3 year contract? I actually thought the contract stated that one of the games was to be at their place.

That has the potential to be the lowest attended game since the BFS renovation in terms of tickets sold. I highly doubt we'll see a game as sparsely attended as Charlotte this year ever again though.

Yeah, immediately after I posted the "rivaly" game with Towson, I thought it was possible they'd make us "rival" up with Elon instead.

At least it's like a return to the Pre-West Towson times and we can end on an easy one again.
