Granted, it's only through the first three games of the season, but a great start for Lance Stephenson as the Pacers are 3-0.

Per game stats:

19.0 pts 6.7 reb 4.0 ast

I haven't seen the Pacers play yet. I find it hard to believe they have geared their offense away from George, West and Hibbert. Along with 15-20 ppg guy Granger getting ready to come back from injury, I'll have to catch some of their games, if possible.

That Pacers team is really freaking good. Balance across the board. Can play defense with the best of them. Hibbert's development has been extraordinary. I've been really impressed with how they have brought Lance along as well. They are a real threat to Miami in the East.

The Pacers have built that team around beating the East. George is going to give LeBron all sorts of trouble this season, and no one can post up Hibbert on that Heat team.

In a best of 7 series I still dont think they can take the Heat. Its still Lebrons league regardless of whos on the other team

Well hopefully we can see the match up in the Eastern Conference Playoffs again. Pacers took them to 7 last season, and improved this off season. The Heat added Greg Oden.

They forced Miami to a game 7 in the conference finals last year. Thinking they could win a 7 game series against the Heat isn't that much of a stretch.

It's certainly possible because Wade cant sustain his health. That Pacers team doesn't challenge the Heat much if you see the Wade that was healthy most of the regular season.

Instead he wasn't healthy, LeBron was asked to do everything on both sides of the ball, which included dividing his time between defending West and George, and they were able to push the series to 7, although the last 3 Miami wins weren't particularly close.

One thing people miss with the Pacers is Danny Granger was out all last year.

I know he isn't a household name, but the dude has averaged 18 ppg over his 8 year career (he has averaged 25 ppg and 23 ppg in separate seasons). Whether he can come back healthy I don't know. The Pacers have five or six guys that can put 20 or more on you, plus size.

Either way, if they meet again, I just hope everyone is close to full strength.

With his outside shot improving there's not much he can't do on a basketball court. Huge upside. Pacers fans are already worried about him potentially pricing himself out of Indiana.

The Pacers are going to need Paul George to take the next step to superstar in order to dethrone the Heat.

Danny Granger is going to get traded. He is in the last year of his contract. Someone is going to give up an asset for the cap space and a decent rental.

It will be interesting to see how the East shakes out. I think the Pacers are probably the biggest threat to beating the Heat (I wanna see more of the Nets), but I think they would struggle with the Bulls, while I don't think the Bulls match up well at all with the Heat.

Either way, I'm glad to see Lance doing so well and also happy to hear that it sounds like he has matured quite a bit.

He made a lot of progress last year too. This has been gradual thing for him.

Being a lifelong Pistons fan...looking forward to tomorrow night vs. the Pacers at the Palace 04-cheers Time to see how the new pieces fit (Smith Jennings Billups Pope) against a contender.

Pistons for life good sir. Still have my turquoise Stackhouse jersey from the early 2000's. You should check out the 10 game pack this year for them. Starts at $76 per head...GREAT deal for a team that SHOULD make the playoffs.

I'm loving the Drummond-Monroe-Smith dynamic, you can create 4 completely different court dynamics with those three, all three crash the boards, Monroe and Smith are good midrange guys, Monroe and Smith are fantastic passers from the high post, Drummond and Smith are great defensive players and athletes. A lot of people were laughing at how bad the shot selection for the Pistons after signing Jennings and Smith, but just look at the rebound numbers for the frontcourt after 3 games, and you can only laugh, so many offensive boards, and so many putbacks.

4 starters over 32 and only really 4 bench players that can even remotely compete in the NBA, they would worry me in March and April. They are absolutely going to be a 3 or 4 seed in the East, but I don't really see them going further than the Conference Semi-Finals.

If you all haven't seen them, Grantland (more specifically Bill Simmons and Jalen Rose) did a review of all 30 NBA teams for this year. Its pretty factual, and REALLY funny just like everything on Grantland.
