You mean like we did the past 2 seasons.

More like Lembo needs to find a way to beat NIU.

I know we are still 9 days about, but marketing from NIU is not quite what I expected to this point.

Realistically there are so few night classes for undergrads that it wouldn't make a difference of more than 100 students in the stands.

It would send a message as to the importance of the game though, that would be its greatest value.

NIU - 48
Testicles U - 35

I think Lynch and company will be too pumped to lose this game with all the streaks and BCS chances on the line. Having an extra 3-4 days off should also help with getting healthy and being prepared for the game. It all hinges on the secondary next week!

Commit to the Stalk!!!

I believe back in 2010 the president of UCF cancelled all classes after 4:00'ish to make sure his new stadium was full of students for a ESPN weeknight game....I don't remember who they played though...???

I definitely don't think it should be done that much, but this is by far and away the biggest game ever played in DeKalb, and I think would deserve such an act to cancel evening classes.

I think few outside of this board even remotely think this way.

I bet there is a good portion of the 23k enrolled at NIU wouldn't mind classes being cancelled. I also know some professors that aren't complete academic blowhards that support athletics and would cancel class if they had a section during the game.

The idea of canceling the evening classes for this game is kind of ridiculous if you ask me.

Something needs to be done to alert people how big this game is. We will never have a bigger game played in Huskie Stadium. Why no marketing for the game, while we marketed up the wazzou for EIU? Something just seems really off to me.

First home game after a BCS bowl appearance, in state opponent, coming off a victory at a big ten venue. That game definitely deserved build up.

I don't know what all you want. They discounted tickets, they have a splash page, people know the team is ranked. I'm sure they have things up around campus. They still have a week. They announced new uniforms.

Send Sean an email instead of complaining to us.

The email to the students about the necessity of their attendance the last two games, the ticket package for $24 for the last two games, and the "pump up" video say that something is being done. Also, maybe they're waiting to put out the "#18 Huskies vs 9-1 Cardinals" ads.

It shouldn't take an email to an athletic director for NIU to do its job, sorry it just shouldn't.

You're missing the point. He is doing his job. You also don't know the entire strategy, maybe they are holding back to do a week long countdown or something.

Again, I don't understand how having a splash page numerous days before the game, sending out a promo video, announcing new jerseys, etc. isn't doing his job? Maybe not up to YOUR standards. But I personally have no problems.

He's talked about the game on the radio shows, he called out students after the last game.

Complaining to me doesn't help them or satisfy your questioning. Asking him will.

If I was a casual fan I would definitely be aware that I can bid on a jersey, I just don't know the date/time/opponent of the team they are playing when they wear these jerseys.

Casual fans don't care about bidding on jerseys. Casual fans don't care to go to the weekday games when they can watch it on TV. That's why they are casual fans.

All the more reason you have to GIVE THEM A REASON TO GO. In all honesty , a poorly attended game could cost us a BCS spot, it honestly could as crazy as it sounds.
